MIS and You

What I learned in class and through the readings, was that MIS was the developments and use of information systems that help businesses achieve their goals and objectives.

I felt that the video we watched on Land's End was a great example of how MIS is in use for large corporations. A company like Land's End is a good example because they not only have to keep a huge inventory of products, but need to maintain contact information and communication systems that help their everyday business in achieving its goals.

Learning about MIS and how it applies to different aspects of business is very interesting. I look forward to learning more about it and to see how I can apply my knowledge of MIS towards my future career.
