"MIS and You"

"The development and use of information systems (IS) that helps buisnesses achieve their goals and objectives". This is MIS. It seemed so illusive after the first class but it turns out an example of an IS is as simple as a library catalogue, or a phone answering system.
When at work, I use an IS to manage the reservations for the restaurant. I also use a planner for my internship to track my buisness and progress.
Asking the question of how I am connected to MIS is almost silly, considering most activities of daily life involve information systems of some kind. Therefore, familiarizing myself with these systems will only be a benefit personally and professionally.
