Women Sues Best Buy for $54 Million

This is a pretty interesting article. A women brought her laptop in for repairs and after a few months of not getting it back, Best Buy told her that they had lost her laptop. They offered to give her a gift certificate to buy a new one, but she refused and now is suing the company.

I think it was bad on Best Buy to lose her computer, but this is going to happen once in a while. I feel like they should have offered her a little more money for her laptop since they offered less than she payed, and they should have not ignored her offer when she said she would take $2100. Lastly, 54 million seems like a lot of money to sue for over a laptop, and I don't think she will win this case.

Clearly this is not about the MONEY. She really wants Best Buy to chain their "policies" so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I completely agree! I want their policies to change too. The only way to do this is for her to hit them in the pocket book.

But wait it gets better! Where does this 54 million come from... The E/O (errors and omissions insurance policy) or their profits?
How about a little of both.

So, now your insurance rates go up because the insurance companies need to cover the loss. Also Best Buy has to pay some out of its profits as well. You think they want a loss of profits? Hell no. They then raise their prices to make up the differences!

I hope she wins $54 million! Because I (and you) will be paying her our portion of this.

Gosh I love the litigious society we live in! For go all responsibility and SUE. Its the American way.

These words are my own.
