Thought I would share this with you and my hatred for Barry Bonds.
The article is about Barry Bond's motion last week to dismiss or strike portions of the federal government's indictment against him. The charges were for perjury. It was stated that asking the grand jury for this was the equivalent of asking the umpire for a ruling for the entire game. Barry's motion was for dismissal of the perjury case.
Why interesting? - This case has been a huge part of the sports news, and will affect major league baseball for years to come.
What will be the impact on you, others, or the whole society? - Impact is strong on anyone who knows anything about baseball. Everyone has a different opinion about steroids in baseball, especially relating to its biggest culprit, Barry Bonds.
What can be your response? - I personally feel that Barry was a great baseball player, but there is strong evidence that he used steroids. I believe when he was asked in 2003 whether or not he used steroids, that he lied. I don't have much respect for him anymore after all of this. It makes the game of baseball look like a joke and something needs to be done.
