Robot Nation

I found this extremely interesting in the technology world. Japan has created robots that can sense emotion, they can react to words with a frown or smile. For a long time they have been being used in factories in Japan, and are becoming more and more helpful and technical. One benefit is that they won't be needing pension plans or social security. The robots are also being used to help care for the elderly, serve tea, and greet people. I find this facinating that they can perform such complex functions.

See how fast the robot industry grows. I actually learnt part of controlling robot movement algorithms when I was in college. Could never imagine the complexity of teaching them to sense smell at that time...When the world described in Matrix will become true?
