This link will take you to an HR "Spring Cleaning" tips article. The part about going green and eliminating paper clutter caught my attention. I worked for a company which was in the process of going paperless using a really intricate program that utilized OCR which allowed you to search all documents. This is the way to go if you want to go paperless. If you remember anything about a document you can find it (person's name, date, words used in the document).

I think it is kind of barbaric how much paper we use in our society. The IRS is slowly getting there with online submissions (I believe should be mandatory soon...). It is absolutely possible to "go green" and save so much paper when we are living in an online, electronic world. Those who are frightened of the computer age are becoming more sparse (thankfully) so I think we must realize as a society that we can do so much more by utilizing our computers to their full potential.
