From someone who visits Africa often, believe me when I say landmines are a problem. Now, instead of a metal detector, which can get you killed. They are tethering mongooses to a robot to lead the animal into a minefield so it can sniff out the metal. haha. So, for all you animal lovers out there, sorry... its Africa.
