AT&T: Internet to hit full capacity by 2010

The vice president of legislative affairs for AT&T, Jim Cicconi, has said that the internet will pushing close to the full capacity of the internet by 2010. He was saying that by 2010, 20 households will be producing more amount of internet traffic than the entire internet today. When videos begin to be uploaded or downloaded in HD is when we will begin to see more of an increase in the amount of traffic that is being used. HD video's are will use a significantely more amount of bandwith then the current videos that are being used today.

It is amazing to see that we are actually pushing the limits of the internet. I'm sure that before, the internet was seen as something that had no limitations, but of course we have gotten a little greedy and push the internet to it limits. Hopefully, something can be down were the internet is imporved without putting more costs than necessary to the consumers.
