Cell phone service provider, T-mobile said that it will be offering a Google Android based cell phone by the end of the year.
This is the first company that is part of the Open Handset Alliance that has publically announed that it will carry a Android capable phone, where as other members, Verizon and Sprint have mention no word of adding a device to the list as of yet.
Joe Sim, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile said that at first they were, "skeptical, T-Mobile now views Android as a way to encourage innovation and customer choice.
The platform hopes to compete against AT&T's iPhone.
