This is not a personal bash on Apple products, just a reminder about software bundling. This article deals with the new Safari browser bundle strategy Apple has implemented in their new iTunes update. This has given company headaches because by default the choice to install Apple Safari browser is enabled. The browser was installed on 30 PCs and in terms of MIS, the time to repair and fix this problem had cost time and money through the update of their filtering system (and contacting their filtering software maker).
There are other kinds of software that follows this bundling strategy:
Daemon Tools- Popular CD/DVD virtualization software
Various games
AOL products
New computers/notebooks
Lots of others
