My own personal competitive advantage comes from my life history. I have been through some very intense jaw surgeries in the past, which gave me a different outlook on life, what is important, and how people should behave toward each other. I was raised in a typical American family, Mom, Dad, two older brothers, in a quiet neighborhood in Vista.
These factors may not seem too important, or really all that special, but they do distinguish me from the rest, as I have developed my character and positive attitude from these life factors. My own personal competitive advantage is me. Just me and the values I hold. Just as Porter said organization's must have a strategy aligned with their goals, objectives, culture, and activities, so too must people act according to their goals and values.
