Ubuntu breathes new life into school's abandoned hardware

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but the current computer systems and hardware out in the market today are more than adequate enough to do everyday normal tasks. In fact, it probably would be difficult to completely utilize the hardware in today's market unless you play games, do graphics design, run a database center, operate complex synchronization networks, and lots of more complex tasks.

Computer hardware from 4 years ago is probably where normal tasks started to become very easy to handle. In fact, the reason you see low budget laptops now, like the Asus Eee, is because they realize that old computer hardware had just enough power to run all the daily tasks most people depend on these days.

This article kinds of show you how efficient the Ubuntu operating system is, which is a Linux-based operating system build. It also presents a perspective of the points I have made in this post.
