Apple has paid $278 million to P.A. Semi for a chip that is suppose to be put into a future Iphone. The current chip in the Iphone 279 milliwatts. This chip that Apple has supposedly purchased is said to be much more powerful, maybe even to powerful for such devices like the Iphone or Itouch ipod. Several other uses for the chip are a possible game console, Apple 3.0 TV, future Apple computers, and/or possibly getting invloved in the server market and many other possibilities.
There is no doubt that whatever Apple uses the chip for will be the big hit in the technogical world. Apple has began to lead and will continue to lead by example. Just like when the Iphone launched a couple of years ago. Everyone wanted it and was willing to pay outrageous prices to get it. As long as it is the in thing, people will want it and pay whatever to get it.
