Lead Football Fields???

This article caught me by surprise. Two artificial football fields in New Jersey were recently closed due to high levels of lead contamination. The lead can become airborne after the turf wears down, however there need to be more studies to determine the actual amount of harm it could cause. This could be very important because of the vast amount of artificial turf fields in the US, including those used by professional football teams. The entire article could be seen at:

If they build a football field where people are using all day, shouldn't they test these things first. Grrrr... yes that was me growling at silly people...
