As the title of the article suggests, scientists have developed a new way of storing long-term data. Graduate students at UCSC, along with an associate professor there, teamed up to develop "Pergamum", which is a network of storage devices that use very little power (under 13 watts), has two levels of redundancy (security measure), and ultimate compatability with future methods of networking.
