Are you tired of your notebook spontaneously bursting into flames all the time? Me to! Researchers in Germany are developing a fire-proof lithium-ion battery to help solve this problem. They are trying to improve the conductivity of the new polymer; they figure that it's going to be three to five years before this new breed of battery finds its way into consumer devices. I can not wait to buy a laptop with one of these batteries; no longer will I be a victim of exploding notebooks!
