Kim Fenske is trying to get the people in this country stop depending on foreign oil, and start driving hybrid vehicles. Hybrids in the US market are growing steadily and now that the price of gas is increasing, it may affect some buyers. There are many different hybrids out there such as, the new Nissan Altima, Saturn Aura, and Lexus LS600h, and also hybrid versions of the Chevrolet Tahoe and much more. Lonnie Miller, director of industry analysis at Polk, says that hybrids have been on the market long enough for people to trust and consider it. Fenske hopes that people will start using hybrid cars and realize that they can save up to $3000 per year in maintenance plus a savings of up to $3000 in fuel costs.
