They are going to redesign Yahoo in order to add applicaions to become more of a social network. In the days of Facebook, and Myspace, they want to draw more users and make it easier for users to connect with family and friends.

I think this is a good move on Yahoo's part. It enables them to increase their brand equity by getting their name out there more often.
