Fraud abroad remains 'uphill battle' for eBay

The Internet has opened every user to the fraudulent actions of people all around the world. We are no longer victims of crimes that happen around us in out home or in our cities. Instead crimes are taking place that affect us throughout the entire world. Because of this the government of those worlds and their laws could affect us as well. In this article it tells of three countries that has had a lack of interest in cyber crime. They include Romania, Russia, and China. These three countries have been a major source in the phishing e-mails that have targeted eBay users for personal and account details. These cyber crimes have been happening through large towns but have concentrated mostly in the smaller towns. EBay‘s trust and safety manager believed that in some towns in Romania these cyber crimes have been their main source of income. Though steps have been taken to try and reduce some cyber crime in the larger cities the government has done nothing to stop the cyber crime in the small cities. The world is no longer separated by boundaries and by water. Everyone is affected by other countries actions. Kind of scary huh? So ….beware!! Has anyone else been effected by cyber crime from another country?
