Ever since Microsoft announced that XP would not be sold in 6 more months, people have been very upset and are voicing their opinions over the internet. Many XP users complain that Vista is not as powerful, it has incompatibilities with programs, and annoying pop up windows. A man has collected over 100,000 signatures trying to keep XP around.
I think people eventually will buy into Vista, and all the kinks will be worked out. When previous editions were released, I bet there were people that did not like the new operating system, but they adjusted to it just like the people will with Microsoft Vista
